However Lucasarts took a more in depth look at it and introduced classes such as entertainers and traders. These classes are solely dependent on the combat classes. They are responsible for buffing and healing. These classes cannot be expected to be on the field grinding monsters purely due to the fact that Lucasarts did not want them doing that.
The credit system in SWG is the main currency format in SWG Credits. Players are dependent on each other due to lack of NPC vendors in the game. Items and weapons have to be made by the players in game and are sold for credits to other players. These mechanics are reliant on the professions available to players. Basic professions such as weapon forging, armor crafting and poisons are available. Characters such as bounty hunters require poisons for their strikes and attacks. The players are free to take on any profession but something that complements your character and play style is recommended. Raw materials needed to make these items are also exchanged for credits. These materials are generally acquired via loot drops from monsters and are also found freely in certain regions.
At first it may seem that the non-combat classes are at a disadvantage but however in game time the buffs and heals they provide are rarely given freely especially at end game. The buffs are made available to players for a certain price. This is rarely seen in many MMORPGS. However the class system is a bit of a bore the non-combat classes are not recommended as they provide no entertainment unless you’re a pacifist by nature.
